O.K. Homesters, I'm going to make your hectic life a little easier for you.  I've reviewed, pondered and pontificated about the choices we have for the upcoming election.  Here's my take:

__Yes XX No Amendment 1: The Collins Center says "In 1987, the Florida Legislature established public financing for statewide campaigns, arguing that it was becoming too expensive to run for public office and that the high costs were preventing strong candidates from running."  Has anything changed?  Is the law doing what it was intended to do?  YES!  So why the need to repeal?  "Let It Be, Let It Be, Let It Be, oh Let It Be, give to those who are worthy so Let It Be!"

 XX Yes __ No Amendment 2: This would give deployed military personnel an additional tax break on their homesteaded property.  Come on people...this is a no-brainer.  For those of you who are concerned about the financial impact (estimated to be about 13 million first year), think about bringing the troops home.  If they are not deployed, they don't get the break.  "All we are sayin' is give the homestead a chance..."

__Yes XX No Amendment 4:Talk about a waste of money.  You want the people to decide every change to land use plans?  Most people, and I mean most, don't get involved with the election process as it is.  Local government officials affect our lives way more than the President of the US.  And most people don't vote for local reps.  Are they going to vote every time a zoning change is on the ballot?  Let lawmakers do their job.  If you don't like the job they're doing, fire them!

 XX Yes __ No Amendment 5&6: Let's look at who is for it and who is against.  Against it...current republicans who are in power.  (Pssst...they want to keep their power.) For it...a bi partisan group of people who are no longer running things.  Hmmm Vote YES!

__Yes XX No Amendment 8: I'm a teacher.  Nuff said.  Vote NO!
